Coucou tout le monde!! How everyone doing?

It's true, I found real ice cream in Africa. It's more like Gelato but they call it ice cream so I do too. It's actually pretty good, and really close to the zone leaders apartement. So we've got zone conference tomorrow, my first one 💪, and are in the city of aboisso (our zone).

Highlights:
I think some goats were staring at me like they've never seen a white man before, or something. It just stopped what it was doing and watched me walk past it, pretty funny.

Our mission president set new goals for us and now we have to find 3 new people a day!! Crazy, but it has been working. I don't know how, but we have a small sector and are still finding people. We are about to see the fruits of our labors here, I can just feel it.

I finished the chosen series, and they were pretty stinking good. I don't want to spoil it, but the main character is going to die. I don't know how yet, but he told his disciples. Crazy stuff!

I got to try some local food today as well! It's called Garba, and no it's not short for garbage. I thought the same thing. But it was really good. It's almost like quinoa if quinoa was a rice. They have tomatoes, lettuce, and onions with meats like fish or chicken. Would recommend.

Spiritual thought; I'm going to be honest, I haven't been thinking of a christ-like attribute this week, so I'll just share the one that I've been working on this transfer.

The christ-like attribute I've been hoping to magnify for these next 3 weeks is diligence. I don't know how, but I knew that this was going to be important after my first week.

My companion, I would say, is not exactly the MOST diligent missionary out there. In fact, he quickly chooses the easy (and often lazy) option over more work. Now don't get me wrong, he knows how to do the work. And really well at that, but smaller things like "it's raining, let's go back" or "I don't do contacting ofn Sundays" that get me.

I hate to put ultimatums on things, especially on the mission. Should we try less hard because their muslum? Just because they're another faith doesn't mean that god can't change their life with his message.

But as God often does, it gave me a different view on diligence. I felt as though I've wasted a transfer to work on an attribute of Christ. I'm just the trainee, there's only so much I can do (and I try).

But I've come to learn to be diligent in the things I can control. I can't control the actions of my companion, so trying to be diligent or forcing him to comply so that my goals are accomplished aren't exactly helpful. Don't get me wrong, that sounds nice, but we're supposed to work together, not tear each other down.

So instead, I work on being diligent in the personal things. For starters, when I feel like we're wasting time in the apartment, I try to be productive. I study something, cause anything helps. Be it French, the gospel, the lessons, *cough* *cough* *chess*, I choose to be diligent that way.

So I want to ask you, how can you be more diligent. I understand that some circumstances make it hard, but there is always something you can be diligent towards. Jesus taught that if a man make the you walk one mile, walk with him another.

Diligence also brings kindness and service. So go, be diligent to yourself and others around you in the work of the lord. I know that whatever you do, if it be good, god will magnify your ability like he does the the servants in the parable of the talents. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Love you guys, thanks again for reading through all that. If you want as well, email me. Here's some questions I want to know.

1. What was your favorite conference talk and why

2. What's new or happening

3. What colors your toothbrush

4. (If applicable) how's the college life

Im just kidding about number three, but really, I love to hear from you guys. Ill make sure to add some photos and them link to the album
