  Hey everyone, we got transferred news, so stick around for the end! Spiritual thought: 2 nephi 25:26 I'm sure you guys all know this one. If not off the top of your head then after I give the citation "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." Yup, that one  I've really found an eye opening experience being out in the driest areas of this side of the city. (It's really not, but let's pretend it is), and I've always had the fear of imposing on others while talking to them. I've seen this in the way I talk with my companion, and the way I talk to new friends we Meat in their homes or on the streets.  But why is it that we preach the gospel in tbe first place? Is it to impose our ideas or philosophy on others and let them know that if they dont follow they cane never be happy? No...

Hey guys we got a good week in. Butt of course let's hit up with the spiritual thought Spiritual thought: I want to start with a story that comes from this morning actually. I decided that I wanted to make some chocolate pancakes. So I went through the normal routine and added the chocolate powder. Soon enough, I was frying the pancakes on a skillet. Except this time, the pancakes were just not turning out. Sticky, messy and just not looking pretty when they come off. They were always torn, or looking half cooked. I started to get really frustrated. Like, I've done this a million times. Maybe it was the batter, or the spatula. Why was I not getting the results I wanted? I almost just gave up on the batter and stuck to the pancakes I already had. Cut my losses right? Now easily agitated, I took a step back and chose to continue. Change the batter a little bit, and try again. This did not change the outcome, but the last pancakes definitely looks better than the first. Not so tor...

  Old McMe's having loads of splits. E-I-E-I-O Hey guys, another week and a half has been gone by. I don't send an email last week cause it was 4 days. Buts lets get into it Spiritual thought: 2 Nephi 4:28  "Awake, my soul! No longer droop in sin.  Rejoice, O my heart, and give place no more for the enemy of my soul" I love this verse. It comes right after Nephi is dreading his weakness in sin. Then he looks at this and tells himself to awake. I don't know about you but I think about awaking, I think about getting up suddenly being startled awake. Guilt is built into the human system, it serves is purpose. It leads us to change and humility, but to dwell on these moments is not what God intended.  I'm reminded of the song where it says  "Wake up, and do something more  than dream of your mansions above" When are moments where we are just asleep, not focused and drifting through this life.
