Now my sons, remember

Hey guys, how's it going. I hope you all had a splendid week. Mine was great. We'll get started right away Spiritual thought: remember, remember I've been thinking a pot about remembrance lately. Probably cause I've just been very bad at it when others ask me to do something for them. It isn't fun when I remember I forgot something, ironically.  So, the scriptures make a huge statement on remembrance. It is our only driving force in life. Our only motivation. Cause if we forget, it is lost.  With the sacrament each week we promise to "always remember him". How often is always in your life? Whenever it's convenient? Or when you've finally ser apart time for it? God gives us the promise that if we always remember him, we may "always have his spirit to be with us".  So let's try harder to remember God, and Christ's atonement for us when we interact with others. Or even when we don't. This remembrance will help us keep to our goal...

Hey guys. What's the hap? I'll let you in on a secret... We've just been doing the same thing every day  .  Ok, here's what I've got for our spiritual thought: Trust in the lord Ok, this one will be quicker. (Editor Carter here and it was definitely not quicker)  I want to just remind people reading this that god hears all of your prayers to him. Most of the time, we may feel that there was no response or resolve but I know that more often than not, there was.  A few things come to mind from this:  First is Nephi when his brothers bound him with strong cords and left him to suffer death to the wilderness. Maybe to them, they felt less guilt if they weren't Nephi's direct cause. Either way, Nephi was down and not in a good place. He prayed to god and asked that he might "burst" the bands that tied him up.  But God thought otherwise. Instead of this dramatic bursting of bands and a heroic, epic escape from death that so many other prophets received...

Après minuit?!

Whats good hein? Hope things are chilling back in the states and around the world. I'll explain the context right after the Spiritual thought: Iterative perfection Ok, I really think we made a trilogy of spiritual thoughts cause this one piggy backs off of last weeks as well.  This week we will talk about consistency. And to help me, I've asked Elder Dale G. Rendlund to help us today.  Dale, can you help us out by explaining what the word Iterative means?  "Iteratively means that we build on and improve with each repetition" - Dale G. Renlund Thank you, so I never knew what this word meant before and I love it so much. It reminds me a lot of President Nelson's "Perfection Pending" talk where we do not start out perfect. Our job starts with a small draft that we repeat over and over again. But without changes to our draft, we do literally nothing.  Sometimes, we make errors when editing our lives, that's alright. Continue and progress. Keep the spir...
