Coucou tout le monde! How was everyone's week? Mine was just splendid. And full of amazing wildlife here in Africa. But not in a good way.

We got a rat in the guitar, ants in the walls, and cockroaches in the drains and a toilet that leaks urine...

To start off, we had a mouse that thought he could live with 4 teenage boys. First off, bad idea. Second off, he thought he could get away. Here's a quick run-down of the week Here's the story.

Story time: one morning as me and my companion were planning for the next week. The other two elders in our apartment found out that a rat had gotten in their guitar and was still in there. So like ratatouille, he had hours own John Denver guiding him around until he ended up in the guitar.

They thought it was hilarious and because it couldn't get out, they brought the guitar over to show us. We're all up and trying to see the rat. I was taking a look when it got enough grip to climb out. Oooooohhh boy did I freak out. It even ran straight for me after it hit the ground.

The other two elders closed our door which was is only escape and grabbed a broom and returned. Thus far want going anywhere. But when the other elders came back, we couldn't find the rat. We RIPPED that room apart looking for it until I moved my bed covers. And there it was, on the corner of MY bed... it ran off trying to escape but really there was nothing it could do to escape. My comp went bloodthirsty for this rat. So much that the broom broke. We finally killed it and decided to celebrate by humiliating it. We've got an amazing selfie of all the elders over this poor rats dead body. Then put it in a bag the said thank you on it.

Sorry that's not even half of it... it gets worse. The very next morning I walk into the kitchen to find it overrun with ants. And they're huge.

We clean that up and that leads us to outside, where one elder saw a roach leak ve this concrete hole in our apartment.

We killed about 25-30 roaches just from that until they figured it out and tried escaping back through our drainage system. But they have all been killed, but there is still a hole currently. We're working on that one.

After that our toilet just felt like giving up on us and felt he was no longer chill just being a toilet. There was a leak somewhere and it showed when another elder tried going the bathroom.

Any way. Hectic week,. Ton of fun stories. And because this is already long I will keep the thought short.

Spiritual thought: This is one of the points I brought up last time.

- His words will fill your soul up with joy.

I just want to testify this time at the straight up TRUTH of this phrase. I mean, who doesn't want to hear that there is ALWAYS a way back through righteousness. It's not easy, but it was never meant to be. We are here to be masters of our own selves, which is pretty freaken hard if you ask me. Jesus is the perfect example(as always) of self control. When satin tempted him 3 different times, he withstood him EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Not only that, but without waiver or struggle. He KNEW God's plan and made the decision long before he came here to OBEY the words and will of God. That we must follow, THAT we must become to receive happiness and joy. Joy doesn't come when things are easy, they come when you've made your way through hard things or times and you can finally look back and see your progression. I invite you to find your progression. How far have you come? I know that it is a lot farther than you originally thought. Trust yourself, and trust that God has you in his hands. Just like a pot in the hands of the potter. I'm sure it the pot could speak it would say "why do you strain me so much? It's this really nessicary?" But it is, because we can become something beautiful through the working hands of God.
