Hey guys, whats going on? I hope you all had a wonderful week this last one. If you feel like reaching out, take this as your sign to do it cause I'm always there. Let's jump into it

Spiritual thought. 

I want to talk a little bit about humility today.  It can seem like such a simple attribute to worry about, but the moment you start thinking your humble, your not. Kind of reminds me of a game ðŸ˜‰...
Anyway, we know that humility requires hope. But why is hope always tied with humility. Because God commands us to always be like little children. 

Just like how children don't understand half of what the parents know, we don't comprehend nearly to what our father jn heaven knows. So you know what he's asks of us? Lean to him, trust in him and his knowledge. If a little boy is working on a bike with his father. Do you think the father could just as easily do it on his own. Is it possible that the little child migh5 get in the way sometimes. Totally, but in God's wonderful plan, thats what he wants. God wants us to get our hands dirty trying to put on the chain gear. 

The child gets frustrated, and where does he look? Right to his father. Do we do the same? Its a question for you just as much as it is for. I've had some recent reflection as to what I can put in God's hands. Things where I'm obviously frustrated, and look to my father for a response. Sometimes, the dad will let the kid struggle, just waiting until he breaks and asks for help. God loves us, and he wants us to KNOW HOW to build the bike for ourselves. Not to have it done for us. 

I think there is more joy and satisfaction on a little kids face when he accomplishes something himself, than if his dad just came in and did it for him. The same is true for us. GOS TRUSTS YOU. This trust allows you to grow, to learn more, and to love more. I say these in the name of Jesus christ, amen

Fun things throughout the week

-We got a baptism Saturday! It was wonderful, here name is Esther and she was ready from the beginning. She seems so connected with the members already and loves the community.

-I lost my phone yesterday and miraculously got it back at 11 today. Great miracle, and I'm so glad God answered my prayers.

-choir practice and pulling out my piano skills. Shaking off some dust, but its coming along
 
-Photoshoot on the top floor which went AMAZING. (Almost got locked out but didn't so 10/10 experience)

-Officially declared war on the cockroaches in the apartment when I bought the cockroach killer

Before I share the story, i want to formally apologize about last weeks email. This is going to make some people mad but, Im sure half of you didn't scroll down far enough.  Go look again, yeah you OK, so, I've found it, the true deep dark woods. It's here in Ayamé and it is looking pretty scary. Me and my comp had some friends pretty far out there to teach a lesson to and when we got there, they weren't home.   so I decided I wanted to take the time we would have been teaching to walk through this forest. A lot of the threes here are not naturally grown. I mean, me and .y comp are far enough out there that we see some wild trees. But most trees you see here are orchards grown by the people here. Salut tous le monde!!  It is a good day! P-day is always a good day. This week has been pretty wild. I've been getting some exercise in when I can; like last p-day, me and my district went and played basketball, then Saturday we went to the soccer fields and played some soccer. For some reason we had 4 hours to spare on Tuesday and went to the gym to play some basketball again. It's kind of hard to fit in some time to go everyday, but even just going some of the days is keeping my sanity. The schedule is growing on me, I've been here a week to know that this is going to be the next two years of my life. I'm headed to the temple right now and am going to do some endowments in the Mt. Timp temple for the first time.  Yesterday was SUPPOSED to be the start of our immersion class. Where the classes become only taught in french, but the teacher teaching us didn't know French. Coucou tout le monde! How was everyone's week? Mine was just splendid. And full of amazing wildlife here in Africa. But not in a good way.  We got a rat in the guitar, ants in the walls, and cockroaches in the drains and a toilet that leaks urine...  To start off, we had a mouse that thought he could live with 4 teenage boys. First off, bad idea. Second off, he thought he could get away. Here's a quick run-down of the week Here's the story.  Story time: one morning as me and my companion were planning for the next week. The other two elders in our apartment found out that a rat had gotten in their guitar and was still in there. So like ratatouille, he had hours own John Denver guiding him around until he ended up in the guitar.  They thought it was hilarious and because it couldn't get out, they brought the guitar over to show us.
