Heyo
How was everyone's week? Mine was pretty busy with some fun stories. But first, spiritual thought.
Spiritual thought:
Lately I've been thinking a lot about experiences. Mainly spiritual ones, but personal and fun ones are always good to have.
"In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost" -President Nelson
What does constant influence mean? Does that mean that I only need to have one big spiritual party of my life and my testimony is set?
Not at all. Like how president Nelson explains, our spiritual moments cannot get us through hard times. It is only with the Holy Ghost that can CONSISTENTLY guide us through our life.
However important spiritual experiences are, they spirit not be our fuel for more that a year. We must search diligently for opportunities to serve other people and to bring the spirit. Look at the example of Lamen and Lemuel who LITERALLY saw an angel of God. But their hearts weren't turned to God and the murmured immediately after the angel left.
It is also important to note, that no matter how hard WE try, we can NEVER force spiritual experiences to happen. NEVER. All that depends on the will of God, but it is our duty to bring about these moments when the opportunities arrises. Our hearts must be open. To be willing to serve others. To understand what God would want to happen.
Praying is another good way to invite the spirit to touch hearts. I've learned that God is just waiting for us to pray for blessings he's already willing to give us. Its a reason we have the prayer. In this, I love to pray for a miracle each day. I pray that I can be in a place to bring about his miracles when the time is right, and the opportunity is given.
So I invite you to pray, even thi a e who may seem their faith is faltering. Even those who feel their faith has faltered altogether. Who feel they may have lost the joy they once had. I know that prayer is thr answer for you. I love you guys, and love to hear from you. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen
Random happenings (photos to come)
- we visited one of the two dams here and had a full tour. It was EPIC! (sorry no photos though, it wasn't allowed)

- I caught a rat that tried to fall down a wall. I pinned it against the wall with a giant squeegee. (There is a photo)
- exchanges with the branch president (who is a missionary)
- we had a baptism! The night before, we had some problems with the drain, so we spent about an hour trying to find a solution. (I'll show you the result)
- we had a special friend come to church that the missionaries have been trying for 9 months. (Probably won't happen again, but who am I to tell)
Again, sorry for the long email, thanks for reading. Email me back with something fun you did over the weekend.
And...
If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who'd it be and what's the first question you'd ask? (You can say Jesus, but add another one if you do)
This is the closest I could get to the dam
