Coucou tout le monde!
How was everyone's week? Send me an update if you feel like it, it'd be much appreciated.
Spiritual thought:
Today I've been feeling like talking about the testimony. The power of a testimony is really something that brings joy into people's lives. It prepares us for hard moments, and let's us feel and access God's love and forgiveness.
We see that in the parabol of the ten virgins, that half... HALF, of the virgins were not prepared to meet their bridegroom. Their lanterns ran out of oil, and none else was prepared for them after that. When the left to find some, the time was too late.
We CANNOT delay in keeping our lanterns lit. It is soo necessary I'm these last of the last days. President Nelson taught us that.
"In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost" -President Nelson
We can say that the holy ghost is our oil. We must grow our ability to feel the holy ghost in our lives. If not, we will not be prepared to meet god in our lives. Learning to hear the voice of the spirit is like learning another language, it will take some time. But this is the fuel we need to grow our testimony.
From the scriptures we see that it is holy ghost who testifies of the father and the son, Jesus Christ. Through them, and our faith coupled with hope, we will be prepared to see the light of christ when he comes again.
Prophecies concerning the second coming explain that even the elect will turn away. We can add that turning away could mean not striving to grow our faith daily.
How do we grow our faith then? Throughout my mission, I love to pray for miracles, but that doesn't mean I can make them happen. Sometimes, when it's according to God's will, we see miracles in our lives. God wants us to ask him for things. But it must follow his will. We can't ask him to cause another person harm because they offended us. It doesn't work like that. But God often holds blessings from us until we ask for them.
All I know that I must be the mouthpiece to bring about a miracle when the moment arrises. When god permits, am I in tune enough to bring about the lord's will?
What is God's will for you? You likely know the answer. It's in your baptismal covenants, and for some of you, your endowment covenants. For the baptismal covenants. We take his name upon us, and we strive to be stout worthy servants who serve others. If we do these things, and know the voice of the holy ghost, we will see blessings and miracles in our lives. Its is through these covenants gad god blesses his children.
I loved being able to grow out here on the mission. To not be comfortable. It has helped me see what I want my life to look like after the mission. I don't want these amazing experiences to be the biggest ones I have in 5 years. It should be a continual growth. A continual search to be a servant of god in each opportunity he gives us. I love you guys, and I hope that you will look for opportunities to love one another. To be a friend, or to choose to be kind when anger seems easy. I know that this is the key to happiness, and that help from God is what carries it the rest of the way. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Thanks for reading that if you got through it. Here's a weekly recap of my week. There's some interesting stuff.
Random things:
- I had a crazy pimple on my chin that popped. (I have a video and its pretty gross, so it wont be on the google photos)
- I saw an older man throw a decently sized rock at an autistic kid because his pants weren't up all the way
- we have a ton of friends to teach, see, and plan for. Most of which I haven't even seen yet. So praying to find the elect.
- stressing through this training, but god has really got my back. Gift of tongues is so real guys.

Love you guys, and go have an amazing week. Make it intentional, make it useful.
