Hey guys? How was everyone's week. I'll get to the title after the...
Spiritual thought
For this week I just want to share a miracle that we experienced this week. True a great blessing to bring it about.
Starts on Wednesday when me and my comp are waiting for a taxi outside our apartment. In our conversation, we're debating if it's even worth it to go to our rendez-vous, because we could make an effort later in the day. So we changed our plans to go contact the neighborhood directly across the street from our apartment. We met some amazing people who could progress well. Ok miracle #1: our sector is HUGE, but most of our friends are on the north end of our area. So contacting in the south end is super beneficial because our area is splitting soon in north and south. So we need friends down there. One of our meetings, we tun into a father that sat ys down to chat. We had a very pleasant meeting and in the middle his 4 boys sat on the floor next to us. He let us know that he's not practicing any sect of Christianity but believes in God and Christ.
We invited him to church and he tells us that he works every Sunday so it wouldn't be possible. My comp then turns to the 4 boys and asks if they might be interested. They said sure and we planned to pick them up an hour before church. Then planned to give the father a call on Saturday because a big problem we have here is people "forget" they made this promise. I can see why it would be easy to forget. Saturday comes, then goes. We forget to call them. Haha, I see why it'd be easy to forget. We still made it to their house at the right time to find 3 of the 4 boys already dressed in church attire and ready to go out. The last gets dressed in 5 minutes and were out the door. Just out the door, the 4 boys stop and say, there's more coming, miracle #2. A little girl then walks out also just ready to leave, then another older girl, and finally an older boy.
So not only did our group accept the invitation to come, THEY INVITED THEIR NEIGHBORS TO COME TOO!! So crazy
.
. We started walking to show them the route to get there, and it's really far away. We're on the side of the road so taxis are driving by all the time. At this time of day, they are always completely full. EVERYONE is trying to make their way to church by taxi. On the way, I see not one, not two taxis drive by, but 4! of them completely empty. Miracle #4. I'm just shocked at this point as we find one more and fill up the 4 seats available. They even got 5 to fit. There's 9 of us by the way.
With 2 left we squeezed them in another taxi and sent them off. Me and my comp now practically running to keep up, we continue on until the church.
After the church is over, I come down and ask if anyone would be interested in singing in the choir with me. The oldest boy said yes, and the rest followed. Miracle #5: in the choir, I believe there was some important bonding moments going on as they met the AMAZING members of Belleville 2. So great to see these people come to christ. Another detail I didn't mention (sorry dad, forgot
) is that a week earlier, I thought that bishop told us he had 12 people ready for baptism. Because 12 sounds really similar to 2 I was shocked. After church, we found out that there were how many kids that haven't been baptized yet but have been coming consitantly enough?? WE talked with 11 that could most definitely be baptized by the end of the month. If that's not divinely inspired, I don't know what is.

-Had MLC and it was wonderful. Last one with the the Budges (R.I.P. gonna miss them) best mission president ever

-Of course, church will get a huge shout-out. Loved getting to play with the kids, members, and friends.
-ok, alcohol story;(don't worry, doesn't affect me, I was just the spectator) Just before MLC we slept over at the assistants apartment so we could more easily make it to the conference. I ate some food at a restaurant, all is well. Inside the assistants' apartment, I walk into the end of their conversation.
Elder 1, "Elder *confidential* the food tastes a bit funny, what did you add in it?"
Elder in question, "I used that orange juice mama [soandso] gave us"
Elder 1, "wait, the orange juice they gave us a month ago??"
Elder in question, "uh... yeah"
Elder 2, "you know that orange juice kept outside the fridge ferments..."
Elder in question, "But I cooked with it, oh wait... then I added some after as well"
Sure enough, meta AI told them that they checked off the list for EVERY item that shows orange juice has been fermented. [Alcoholized]
We also found out, that the percentage wasn't too much, but just as if they had taken one shot of alcohol. Still, all according to AI.
Sorry, that was a long one, hope you could see the hand of God as clearly as I did, (for both stories, haha)
Thanks for all the emails I got last week. I think that I responded to them all. If not, send me an email chastising me and I'll get it next week.
