Finance does, and Finance doesn't ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿฅฑ

Hey guys, I hope you all spent the week doing something you love. If it was anything more interesting than sitting in front of a computer, then send me an update explaining what happened. We'll get right on with our

Spiritual thought: daily restoration

I was listening to I need thee every hour and felt inspired to talk a little about jt

I have this really cool variation of the hymn on my it that can be found on gospel library and it made me really reflect on our innate dependence on Jesus. No matter how good we may strive to be. Without any type of guidance, we will start to drift off course.

So why is "Every hour" important? Well, with the context of the phrase it would be silly to go walking through a dense forest without any navigation. If told to walk in a straight line, we would most definitely not accomplish the simple task.

I remember a small analogy given by Elder Uchtdorf that highlights this same principle. People were dropped off in a dense forest snd asked to walk in a straight line. Tracked by GPS, a line was drawn out of their real route to see how close they were. If you want to check out the video, check below

I really love this message and as a missionary, i feel we have the sensitivity on x10. In the example, the dense forest had no landmarks, and "everything looked the same" so without any guidance, we can walk in circles.

We all can drift slowly off course, the thing that makes this dangerous is you won't know your drifting at all. Everyone shown in the experiment was shocked to find their line not straight.

We all have certain things that we feel may not be important. Maybe church can start feeling less necessary or scripture study may become a bit of a hassle. What about you personal prayer? Are they personal? Or do they take too much time out of your day? We all need a trusted landmark to lead the way. One that will keep us on course.

Just like there are small things that can drive us off our course, there are little things we can do to bring us back. Just because we walk in circles doesn't mean we can't be set straight.

Sonwhat does daily restoration look like for you?

Nephi and his family had many struggles in the desert. His brothers consistently turned against God making everything difficult. They encountered difficulty with food after Nephi's bow broke. Their Liahona was the ONLY guide they had and if it stopped working, the family of lehi stopped progressing on their way to the promised land.

I hope you all are thinking about a way you can make you daily restoration better. How can you put yourself more firmly on the road to salvation every day? I invite you to do whatever your thinking and test the results. God will bless you.

Sorry, it was kinda long, but this week was nothing more than computer screens and money ๐Ÿ’ฐ ๐Ÿค‘ ๐Ÿ’ธ

I got plenty of time to work by myself because my finance trainer is sick quoi.

Weeklies:

- I can now officially drive in the Cรดte d'Ivoire. I hear that our licenses are official but I mean... who knows? Im sure these officers don't give a crap. ๐Ÿ›ป๐Ÿš“

- I don't normal ly do today, but it was too epic not to bring up. I GOT TO VISIT AYAMร‰ and it was the best thing ever. We visited the Anoh family and it was the best surprise ever! We (hmhm) hugged and caught up a bit. How's the family? good. How's the health? Good, except little Simeon has got chicken pox. Wut... you mean had chicken pox? No. After that, the little bro stuck to my side like a little sidekick. A very contagious sidekick so adventure awaits!! For the dad lore right?? ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿค’

Well, some days finance finances, and other days the finance doesn't finance. It a very intricate dance. See what I did there. Ha, I'm a po-et and I don't even know-it
