The presidential departure 👨‍✈️🛫

 Coucou toute le monde !

I hope you all enjoyed your time back home or wherever you are. Things were moving here and I'll explain a bit after the

Spiritual thought: Bring us to Zion

Throughout my study of Jeremiah this week, I was able to make some pretty good takeaways that I loved. One of which comes from Jeremiah 3:13-14

God tells us that if we "only acknowledge [our] iniquity" that God "will bring [us] to Zion"

What does coming to Zion look like for us? Is Zion our ultimate goal throughout the day? Coming to Zion not only takes the acknowledgement, but effort on our part to head in the right direction. Do you feel like there is no fix right now?

-In every circumstance, the lowest moments is when God does his best work.

-Do you keep forsaking the Lord? His hands are outstretched to you all the day long

-Do not replace the most important source of happiness (Jesus and his doctrine) with worries, or temporal affairs

I know that whatever may happen, we are in the potters hands and that is exactly what was shown Jeremiah.

(Chapter 18)
God commanded Jeremiah to go to the potters house to learn the lesson God wanted him to learn. From this, God tailors his messages to those who receive them. Isaiah had to see to learn this lesson, but what he sees is a bit different than other potter analogies.

Jeremiah watches the potter break the pot he's working with, but it doesn't end there. He doesn't throw them out and try again on another, but instead used the parts in the best he could to turn it out the way he wanted to. It took more time, but by the end it was as beautiful as if it had never been broken.

Growth is supposed to break us. It is how we learn, and how we can be brought to Zion. Spring is coming, and there will be great changes mixed with bad ones for the future. They are not caused by God, but used by God to form us. He set this world to to be a training ground to learn to be happy. I want to let you all know that you are in the potters hands, and he knows how to mold you even after you break in his hands. Nothing catches God off guard, and surely you don't either.

Weeklies

- President left for a training seminar and it has been the most chill week ever. With president gone, my job has gone as well. 🫡😶‍🌫️

Coucou tout le monde! How was everyone's week? Mine was just splendid. And full of amazing wildlife here in Africa. But not in a good way.  We got a rat in the guitar, ants in the walls, and cockroaches in the drains and a toilet that leaks urine...  To start off, we had a mouse that thought he could live with 4 teenage boys. First off, bad idea. Second off, he thought he could get away. Here's a quick run-down of the week Here's the story.  Story time: one morning as me and my companion were planning for the next week. The other two elders in our apartment found out that a rat had gotten in their guitar and was still in there. So like ratatouille, he had hours own John Denver guiding him around until he ended up in the guitar.  They thought it was hilarious and because it couldn't get out, they brought the guitar over to show us. We're all up and trying to see the rat. I was taking a look when it got enough grip to climb out. Oooooohhh boy did I freak out. It even ...

Before I share the story, i want to formally apologize about last weeks email. This is going to make some people mad but, Im sure half of you didn't scroll down far enough.  Go look again, yeah you OK, so, I've found it, the true deep dark woods. It's here in Ayamé and it is looking pretty scary. Me and my comp had some friends pretty far out there to teach a lesson to and when we got there, they weren't home.   so I decided I wanted to take the time we would have been teaching to walk through this forest. A lot of the threes here are not naturally grown. I mean, me and .y comp are far enough out there that we see some wild trees. But most trees you see here are orchards grown by the people here. But on this trip through the deep dark orchards I guess, we found that there is a house at the back of it.  Me and my companion dared not even get close. Neither of us had the guts to check it out. For me, I was afraid of cannibals. Not really, but it was a little sketchy to...

Salut tous le monde!!  It is a good day! P-day is always a good day. This week has been pretty wild. I've been getting some exercise in when I can; like last p-day, me and my district went and played basketball, then Saturday we went to the soccer fields and played some soccer. For some reason we had 4 hours to spare on Tuesday and went to the gym to play some basketball again. It's kind of hard to fit in some time to go everyday, but even just going some of the days is keeping my sanity. The schedule is growing on me, I've been here a week to know that this is going to be the next two years of my life. I'm headed to the temple right now and am going to do some endowments in the Mt. Timp temple for the first time.  Yesterday was SUPPOSED to be the start of our immersion class. Where the classes become only taught in french, but the teacher teaching us didn't know French. So yesterday was almost a complete waste except for when we mixed with another district and spok...
